Background
John M. Angerer earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of the Pacific (UOP) in 1977. He completed his law degree (Juris Doctor) at the McGeorge School of Law in 1981 and was admitted to the California Bar that same year.
Mr. Angerer has been admitted to practice law in all of the State and Federal Courts in California, including the U.S. District Court, Eastern District and the United States Tax Court. He is or has been a sustaining member of numerous local, state and national professional associations, including the Sacramento County Bar Association (Family law section, Estate Planning and Probate section), National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), Sacramento Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (SOSSCR), Trial Lawyers of America, and the American Bar Association.
He has served as a Judge Pro Term for the Sacramento Superior Courts since 1987 and since that year he has also been a Court appointed Arbitrator for the Sacramento Superior Court. He had received numerous Commendations from the State Bar of California and Board of Governors for having provided free (pro bono) legal Services to the public.
Mr. Angerer is a past president of the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Citrus Heights Rotary Club. He has also been a Boy Scouts Leader, is an avid fly fisherman, and a member of Trout Unlimited and California Trout (Cal Trout).
A lifelong resident of California, Mr. Angerer lives with his wife and two children in the Sacramento area.
